Bio
Along with my co-founder I built The River Styx Group into a successful internet billing provider with over 230M in annual volume. After ten years of bootstrapped growth we sold the company in 2009. I’m currently working to diversify and hone my skills by completing an MBA at Queen’s, with an incredible group of businesspeople and professors from across Canada.
I’m passionate about the need for a stronger entrepreneurial community in Canada and Vancouver, which has led to my work as a mentor with Bootup Labs, a local startup accelerator. I’m also on the advisory boards of Compass Engine, a Bootup-funded startup that is pushing the limits of location-based mobile games, and Mobify, an independent startup that produces truly impressive tools for making complex websites work on mobile platforms. I enjoy not only being exposed to their new ideas and approaches, but finding ways to contribute something of value from my experience and networks.
